The Caela Community Website Project

The Program
The Caela Community Website Project is a "community building" program that was created for small business owners in need of getting a website up and running at a low cost. The program provides participants with a free website as well as the opportunity to fund research towards a cure for Rett Syndrome, the disease which took the life of 3-year-old Caela Farmer, daughter of Digital Crossing owner, Tatum Farmer.

The Donation
Yes, that's right, the website is free. You will not be charged for the website build. However, if you would like to make a monetary contribution for this service, we will gratefully accept any donation you wish to give. Your tax-deductible donation will go towards ongoing Rett research currently taking place at Nemours/A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. This research is taking place under the leadership of Carolyn Schanen, MD, PhD, who was able to diagnose Caela just 3 short months before her passing. This research is critical to advancing scientific understanding of this insidious disease and preventing the deaths of thousands of other girls diagnosed with Rett syndrome.

The Website
This website displays the sample layout I have created to serve as the basic design for client sites. Each website will include up to 5 pages and will be built within 2 weeks, with an additional 2 weeks allotted for any edits and adjustments. Although there is no design cost for the site, there is a hosting cost of $25/month, which also includes the purchase of your domain name.

While this sample provides the fundamentals of your website's layout, you are free to request changes in order for the completed design to more closely align with your company's branding. Below is a listing of what can be altered:
